Together We Are Better!

Robert moved to Senate District 56 with his wife, Toni, in 2011. Since then they have welcomed two beautiful sons to their family. His oldest attends Echo Park Elementary School and his youngest will be heading there next year.

Robert has dedicated his entire career to helping Minnesotans. At the Department of Revenue, he ensured each Minnesotan paid only their fair share of taxes, no more and no less. Robert has audited healthcare companies, tobacco companies, and supervised staff responsible for some of the most difficult collection work.

More recently, Robert worked for the Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA). The OLA is tasked with ensuring each state agency uses public funds appropriately. Robert performed several audits of healthcare organizations that are responsible for administering the state’s Medical Assistance program. In doing so, he helped identify significant pharmaceutical cost savings.

Robert is the vice chair of the City of Burnsville’s Planning Commission and was recently appointed to the Dakota County Planning Commission. His passion for public service and overall government responsibility will make him a great member of the Minnesota Senate.
